Well, I can’t quite believe it, but it’s that time of year again…Christmas is almost upon us! Where has this year gone?!
It’s been another busy and fun filled year for me and I feel very lucky to be doing what I do. I’ve been fortunate enough to work on some very exciting projects which I hope to be able to share with you at some point in the New Year. Some of the many highlights of 2015 have been obtaining new stockists for my art prints and greeting cards, working on an exciting project with a new freelance client, designing and developing new products for my shop and completing the fabulous Make It In Design E-course. The final module, The Ultimate Portfolio Builder, was jam packed with info and tips, as well as some fantastic opportunities with some well-known companies via the Live Briefs. Over the last 18 months, I have gradually worked through all 4 modules of the course and I have to thank the team for helping me to start and find my own style and direction in this crazy surface pattern world! I’m busy working away behind the scenes on my portfolio for potential art licensing opportunities and hope to be able showcase it on my website next year so stay tuned.
Throughout December, I’ve been creating a festive advent every day again this year, joining in with a list of prompts created by the very talented group of designers who have teamed up and formed the Four Corners Art Collective. You can see each individual design and some of my work in progress sketches over on my Facebook page and Instagram account, but here’s the full 2015 collection.
I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me and my business over the last three years. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, full of ups and downs, achievements and challenges and I’m learning so much on this incredible journey. I’ve no doubt that the years to come will be much the same and more!
So for now, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy new year. I hope you all have a lovely break, celebrating with friends and family, sharing lots of love, laughter and happiness.
See you in 2016 🙂
